Hi,
I did a lot of Googling before posting and couldn't find any specifics. Thought I'd ask the Pros here. Also, let's please not turn this into another Sawstop debate (for either the safety features or "vs a cabinet saw). I'm buying one and that's it.  [big grin]

So, due to limited funds (and a couple of hours spent trying to cut thin strips with a TS55 today, I'm going to buy a Sawstop JSS Jobsite Saw for four reason...cutting strips, the dust collection, digit safety, and for hosting Incra miter sleds.

I have a Festool CT 36 and have read that the 36 mm hose will connect to the rear of the JSS. I will also be purchasing the dust collection blade guard for the JSS because I got a big face full of sawdust while playing with my homemade TS 55 CMS insert today. It sucked. Or rather, it didn't suck sufficiently.

Here is my question. Has anyone purchased the dual hose setup for the CMS router tables (Festool 488292) and tried it on a Sawstop JSS? I'm really hoping that the 27 mm hose will fit on the JSS dust collection hood.

Also, should I expect that the CT 36 will handle the load with both a 27 mm and 36 mm hose connected to the JSS? I have a Grizzly 6-inch dust collector, but I've read that the "faster" suction of the CT might be better than the "slower" suction of a 4-inch DC hose that has been necked down to something smaller.

I'd really appreciate some advice from someone that has sorted this out already. Thanks!

I have that saw and was planning on buying the Y from the CMS hose because I already have plenty of hoses that I can spare a few feet. Unfortunately I have not made that purchase.

I wonder how quickly a CT36 would fill up ripping materials all day?
What would be the best bag option for that?  No Bag?

Don't go the no bag route.  Bad for the main filters and then the pocketbook.  You certainly look at the longline bag for the CT which is really designed for handling large volumes of larger chips.  Or you could be looking at a cyclone to add in between the CT and the table saw.  Festool has a new one that could fit into this category.

Hi. Thought I remembered seeing this somewhere, as I am considering the same saw for same reasons.

I have the saw stop jss and the festool split 36/27mm hose attached to it and the blade guard. The 36mm end needs an adapter to fit the saw's rear port but the 27mm end fits the blade guard perfectly. With the overhead guard hooked up too, you'll get festool-esque dust collection from the jss.

I use 50mm hoses between my CMS split hose and my vac and it works great.  I use two extractors for my tablesaw and get very, very little dust escaping.  I modified the over arm bonnet by making my own with 3" tall National Guard Products brush weatherstrip to make a more enclosed space for the owverhead.

Thanks for the info fellas. That is exactly what I was looking for.

LooseSox...how quickly do you fill the bag on your CT. What size of CT are you using?

I put Vacuum end to attach to the saw.  So I have Vacuum ends on a short section of 36mm hose.  I am going try the Festool "Y"  like Ron did before I buy the other part.

I have this setup also.  Works great and very little dust. I use the Dust Dupty cyclone so no issues with filling up the bags.
