SawStop Outfeed

I bought a SawStop flip up outfeed table today. Will install it soon.

Anyone have any tips for installing the table?

[*]Loosely assemble as a test fit before tightening everything down every single fastener. You do have to have the two outer hinge mounts tight at a minimum.

I have a PCS with the overarm dust collection, ICS mobile base and router table mounted on the right. I seem to recall I had to play with the positioning to accommodate all of the accessories. It's been a while since I set it up so I don't recall the specifics.

I'm about 3 hours into the assembly of the SawStop outfeed table and about half way through the process.

It's very involved. I have just about worn out the manual reading and rereading it. The quality of the parts is excellent and the manual is well written.

All tips are consistent with my experience. It seems flimsy, but once assembled it is solid. If I had any say in the matter I would have liked a few more rollers. This is tremendous improvement over the other model.

The assembly is complete!!!

The outfeed table is now totally solid with ALL (lots and lots of bolts, nuts, washers) the bolts tightened.

All I need now is a project for which the outfeed table is needed. I almost always buy something after the need is past.

I don't think I've flipped it down once.  It's super nice not to have to worry about off cuts falling or the height of a roller stand.

It is sturdy, even if it doesn't look it.  At the moment, I've got about 400 lbs of 8' long oak boards on the saw table waiting to be edge jointed.  Without the outfeed, no way I'd want that stack on just the 2.5' of saw and would need to find some other place to stick them while processing.  With the outfeed table they are supported well.
