For those that have a Sawstop in their shop, it seems they recently announced a new crosscut table as an accessory.  It should be out in another couple of weeks.

$999.00, in case you have any interest.

The usual disclaimers, yada, yada, yada...

Now that looks nice  [drooling]  Too bad I just ordered the CMS-VL set, Incra LS positioner and the new version of the precision plate. When I move and have a proper shop I will be buying one of these Saw Stops, unless something better comes along  8)

Odd that Saw Stop did not have a front hold-down for straight-line ripping like euro saw have on their saws, maybe UL. I know I miss my old ones. At least it fits my saw, but I think a router table is going in it spot. Anyone have any feed back on the Bench Dog or other router tables that mount to table saw? (Saw Stop is what I have , but would like feed back on the tables in general.)    Thanks for the heads-up and on the input on the router table. Brent

You could always add the router table on the right, in the field so to speak.

I have the Peachtree cast iron table on the right side of my sawstop professional.  I like it.  I had to do a bunch of drilling to get holes to like up to bolt it in properly.  I have a Porter cable router permanently mounted to a JessEm router plate.  The plate is phenolic and has sagged a few thousands over time.  Personally I would go with an aluminum plate with a router lift if I was doing it over.  You just need to be careful whose cast iron table you buy and what size opening it has for the router plate.  That will limit your router plate choices.

I've also attached an Incra Wonder Fence mounted to the right side of my Sawstop fence using a T-Track screwed into the fence.  Not sure I would go this route again as I wish the T-Track provided a little more of a solid mounting surface for the Wonderfence. Finally, I mounted a full dust bucket covering the router for better dust collection in combination with the dust port on the WonderFence.

There is a picture of my fence setup in this thread

My shop is in a bonus room above my garage and having the router table built into the table saw is a great space saver.

Hope this helps

Thank you both for the input. I should have stated that I have the 50" fence that came with the saw ( I got it used) and I added the overarm dust collection ( doesn't work with my current set-up, but makes a great overarm for sanding, routing and both TS and mitresaw), that another area and we are straying from the sliding cross cut theme. My bad, new to this stuff. B  [big grin]

Good point about straying from the topic of the thread.

Personally, I'm looking seriously at the new sliding table.  I'm hoping my "local" (3 hour drive) Woodcraft will have one on demo when I get there in October.  The sliding table may have to go on my holiday list for my wife  to get me[big grin]

I have a small local shop in the next town, Woodcraft, 7 to 8 hours North or East. Know the feeling. Happy hunting and good luck. B

I wish I had a "local" Woodcraft so close!  Mine nearest one is almost six hours away.  I do plan to pick up the sliding table when it becomes available, just don't know if I'll drive to Tucson for it (since I'll almost certainly have to call and have them order it for me first), or just order online.

I was buying a custom slider attachment for my SS , but had to back out of that deal due to a family illness that ate up funds .
I'm sure glad that I didn't get that  now , This will be mine  [drooling] this winter for my new 3hp PCS I got last spring ,

What...???  Are you telling us that the Woodcraft in Cloudcroft closed their doors?  [poke]

According to the SawStop folks, if a SawStop dealer got in on the early order process, the dealer may, MAY, have the slider before the end of this month.  Of course, this comment was made last month in Atlanta at IWF 2014 so YMMV...

I played with it for quite a while at IWF.  It has extremely smooth action.  I was impressed.

That is good to know.  My shop is small so I'm really interested in how much width it is going to add to my saw.  It is unfortunate but I have to validate that I have the space.

I'm also interested in seeing the miter gauge.  I currently have an Incra gauge and I really like the definitive stops for each angle it provides.  I saw a video from IWF where Sawstop "poo poo'd" that design talking about how inaccurate it is but I'm not really buying it.
