I didn't pay attention to mine because I was painting the inside of a cabinet so all I smelled was thinner. I think I need to go out and stick my head in one of the systainers...

Mmmmmm, my batteries according to AUST manual, were ready for use.

I am in total agreement here..If Festool made a cordless recip that would be amazing! Something like Miwaukees Hackzall would be perfection!

I am in total agreement here..If Festool made a cordless recip that would be amazing! Something like Miwaukees Hackzall would be perfection!

The Hackzall doesn't have a long enough stroke length, I haven't figured out what it's really good for yet. Not good for wood, poor chip ejection and not good for metal because the strokes are too concentrated to a small area... 3/4" stroke length if I'm not mistaken, most reciprocating saws have 1 1/8".

But maybe I'm just spoiled because I'm used to cutting metal with a portable band saw. I guess the Hackzall is good for tight areas but it wouldn't be my "go-to" saw for rough cuts/demo.
