I stopped at Sears today and noticed they had their $530 17-inch drill press on sale for $180.  I had been looking at the Delta, Jet and Powermatic drill presses, but $180 seems like a great deal for this drill press.  The store sign had 10/10 to 10/20 on it but the website said the sale ends 10/13.  Of course my local Sears didn't have any in stock, but I am considering ordering one.  If you're in the market for a drill press, you might want to check out this one.

Go for it - I've had a Sears 15" floor model drill press for ~18 years and it's never missed a beat. I don't think they've changed much either: 5/8" chuck, built-in worklight and 3.5" quill travel.

I stopped in Sears today and, even though they had five of the take-this-ticket-to-the-cashier cards, they didn't have any in stock.  I could order it, but I would have to pay for it now and it's not scheduled to arrive until the end of November or beginning of December.  Still trying to decide whether to order or not.

From what I've read mate...stick with it....It appears that there was some sort of goof with the pricing and I doubt you'll get a better price

Sears caught the mistake.  By the time I got home from work, they had already removed the drill press from the website and changed the price at the store (on sale for $480 now).  I guess you snooze you lose!
