The desk/hutch I'm wrapping up has seeded glass panes in the doors.  I've never used the glass before so I'm just assuming that the "seeds"/texture on the glass faces out, is that correct?

Generaly the textured side of glass does face out/is on the outside.

It really depends--a lot of patterned glass is installed with the pattern on the inside.  Reason = dust and dirt accumulates in the pattern and is harder to keep clean than the smoother surface.  Depending on the glass, the smoother surface may not pick up finger oils and stains as easily (a real problem with sandblasted designs).  On the other hand, the smoother surface is usually more reflective and one may not want that look (not to mention the pattern or texture may appear too muted if installed on the interior).

Sorry to muddy the waters . . .
