Hey guys,

Sending my psbc 420 18v jigsaw off fro repair tomorrow, just wanted to ask do I need to send it with a battery as I've not been told to. The last thing I want is for it to come back not repaired as it needed one with it.

The fault is the where you put the blade into the whole arm thing travels about 10-15mm away from the roller/ blade guide when set to 4/max speed.

I would recommend not sending it in the Systainer. You just run the risk of the Systainer being damaged in transit.

When I sent mine in for repair I was told to send it in the systainer

NOT sending it in the systainer could open you up to being responsible for potentially damaging the jigsaw in transit after not "packing it correctly". I would highly recommend sending it in the systainer.

Agree. Most manufacturers have a clause about not being liable for damage if the item isn't shipped in its original packaging.

I had mine repaired a couple of months ago, sent it in with battery and in systainer. Sent it through my dealer though.
It had same problem as yours, works OK now, but I have no confidence in the carvex.

Before you send it in, I think you might want to read the manual to make sure it isn't doing what it is supposed to be doing.

Good info guys, yeah i checked it against my friends carvex and there's a lot of play..

I can't hold the blade on full speed 5-8mm away from the work piece as the blade shoots farward and starts marking the timber.
