I am considering buying a pair of the Seneca Clamp Dogs.  However, I am unsure of which clamp to go with.  What are the pros and cons of the Kreg Automaxx Bench Klamps versus the Bessey Auto-Adjust Toggle Clamp?

I have both.

The Kreg seems to clamp pieces tighter to the bench than the Bessey.  And it will clamp a broader range - from thin to thick pieces.

The Bessey is a lower profile clamp (overall height), where you may want to clamp something that is more restricting to clamping - it's closer to the bench top so if you want to slip the clamp under a cross piece it may be better.

I personally prefer the Kreg.

Good question...I don't know either, but they say that they should be restocked around 11/15.

Thanks Neil.  That's good info.

I am very happy with the the "toggle clamp plates" that I got from Lee Valley for $21.50 each  (currently free shipping on $40+ orders)

http://www.leevalley.com/US/wood/page.aspx?cat=1,43838,70865&p=70864

Saw those, but I like the idea of the offset being the same as a Qwas dog.  Also, I like the idea of the dog being at the end of the plate rather than centered.  This should give more room on the MFT, I think.  Any thoughts about this difference between the Lee Valley version and the Seneca version?

Lee Valley is 3/4" & Seneca is 20mm & IMO that is a big difference when used in/on a Festool system MFT

can you post the link that Page  is on  ?  ?  ?
as the link I posted above only has 4 items on that page that I cut & pasted from
I find that navigation on the LV site is not the best i've seen .
I just don't see that page with the 20mm clamp holders
Yes I've been know to miss things before but I'd like to maybe have those at that price if indeed they come 20mm  [big grin]

i also have both the bessey and the kreg's

i bought the bessey auto adjust just before the kreg automaxx came out.. the bessey will only self adjust within about a 3/4" range give or take

The Kreg clamps work great from 0-full capicity

my vote goes to the kreg automaxx

i have the lee valley blocks also because those were the only avaliable when i bought them, i will say the lee valley blocks are really nice
