Hi Folks,
I need some assistance and would be appreciative if someone could answer a question for me. I am attempting to do some trench cutting on 2x4 material. I want to trench the height side of the board and take out about 1 inch. I pull down the blade where I want the cut to end and engage the depth limit knob. When I release the blade handle and pull the blade down again to see if is set where I want the cut to be the blade continues all the way down to the table inserts. I can twist the knob to raise and lower the blade when the knob is engaged but that does not get me to the height want to cut. When the 2x4 is sitting on its edge against the fence is there not a way to lower the blade and lock it using the depth limit knob?

Thanks in advance

Bruce

Disregard. I have done a little searching and found out that the Kapex is limited in making shallow cuts with a board with these dimensions.

Yeah it is a bit limited. I suppose you could always place the timber onto of another and the raise the height enabling the depth to go lower. Of course you could only go so far height wise anyway before it would be in the way so to speak.
