Sewing Table

Yeah [member=50292]Peter_C[/member] it was knee lift.

I am now guessing that this is part of the machine rather than a separate lift?
The machine is designed to use a knee lift. Not an option, it is a standard feature on most all industrial machines. If you sew and have to use one hand to lift the presser foot you will understand just how nice of a feature it is.

I remember my mom using her old Singer machine with the foot pedal.  She used her feet, not for lifting, but to spin the works of the machine. An aunt had the same machine. Her nephew still has the old iron framed wooden box that the sewing machine was mounted in.  He says he still has the machine at his home in Fla.  The frame and box is still in Massachusetts.  We have been discussing putting all of the parts together again.
