Sheepskin PAD for RX90

Hi

Are the sheepskin pads for the RX90 intended for final buffing?

My process for Water BAsed Laquer is Granat 800, Platin 2 2000 and 4000, followed by sponge and Festool polishing compound which I think is equivalent to 9000. I then hand buff using a McGuires auto finishing.
