Ive been living with no hand rail for too long and the LOML was getting a lil testy.

gotta love that! my son's sock at the bottom of the stairs. c-clamp at the bottom is holding the bottom bracket until it gets welded to the upright.

as always some very nice little design features, like the shadow gap between the treads and the nice industrial design looking supports for the rail.. good job!

Looks like sapele timber to me, so much so, I did not notice the sock or the clamp, but hey it's a work in progress and you have a child there, the important thing is that the LOYL is not so testy but more impressed/y ;D
As always, nice work. [smile]
Rob.

Looks very nice Eiji.  I also like the margin you left between the stair assembly and the wall.  Gives it kind of a floating affect.  How much of a dust trap is it becoming?  Hard to tell but looks like you carried the grain through all the easements of the rail, nice [thumbs up].  Are you doing the welding on the sub rail structure?

Im not gifted in metals. so no welding for me. I might burn my stairs down. [scared]

Nice work! Are the miter joints just glued, or did you use dominoes/biscuits/dowels/etc?

Miters are reinforced with 10x50mm dominoes. Adhesive is fastcap 2p10 cyanoacrylate. No way those miters would hold up to daily use on a handrail unless they are substantially reinforced. B4 domino I used to use hanger bolts to assemble the miters on handrails. A large dowel would work too

Thanks Ron!
