Single Drawer Sortainer?

It does seem like the Combi boxes have a different way to attach the drawer section: the top and bottom parts reach halfway down the sides of the drawer. I'll tinker when my two Systainer³ Sortainer/3 M 337 arrive.

See my photo above. Your description of the Combi boxes also applies to the Sortainer/3. (Edit: No, you can't see that in my photo because of the overlap of the top and bottom part. But when I look on the outside, the split line is halfway down the sides of the drawer.)

I am unsure about the compatibility of the large drawer compartment in the Sortainer/2. I have not yet checked the split location and the number of splits in that compartment.

Update: It looks like the Sortainer/2 is reusing everything from the Sortainer/3.

The compartment for the large drawer looks like it is made from a Sortainer/3 bottom piece and a Sortainer/3 mid piece. Between the two, a special spacer piece is inserted to increase the height.

That means that any systainer with one or more small drawers can probably be rebuilt with one or more large drawers!

If we are willing to make a custom height extension on the large drawers (and throw expensive, unused parts away), we can go one step further and increase the height of a drawer compartment to get even higher drawers than we can purchase from Festool!

Thanks, @Allano ! Eager to get my Sortainers now to give those a look in person. It may sadly cause a wave of shop projects to refine some storage. Eh, it's not really fun to be in the shop over Arizona monsoon season so simpler shop projects are preferred
