Hi there, In the last couple of days, I have noticed the site is operating at a very slow pace, near to freezing up at times? Well at least for me anyway.
Is anybody else having similar, or is there maintenance or a possible issue?

I am only having issues with FOG, every other site I try is fine. It doesn't matter if I'm at home, or on other wi-fi or even mobile, on laptop, tablet or phone, it is very slow?
I have cleared cache and history etc but, still the same?

Very strange, as it's normally fast for me  [scratch chin]

Thank you all, at least I know I'm not alone.
Very frustrating though isn't it, I will have to peddle the generator a bit faster!  [tongue]

Thanks all  ;)

Slow here too the past 24 hours. Normally very fast. Page loads or posting (such as this post) are taking up to 30 seconds today.

Very slow. At first I thought it was my internet provider, but the other sites I visit are fast.

Well I'll pile on...for me it's been the last 24 hours. Before that it was normal speed.

Yep. Crazy slow. I thought the site was down for some reason. No better this morning.

And here I thought it was just me because everything was slow on my computer. Now that I have done computer clean up FOG is still slow.  Unless it fixes itself there probably won't be any change until Monday.

I don't think slow is the right word.  It's intermittent.  Going to the site just won't go at all, then boom it's there.  Same for links and such.  The content simply doesn't move till it does.  Less speed issue more of connectivity issue.

Yes, very slow for the past few days.  I ran a few web performance tests against festoolownersgroup.com and it confirms that the site itself is very slow, it's not the systems of the folks trying to access it.

Thank You! for letting them know.

Comcast and other ISPs are showing some significant outages/problems.

Could be an attack or just hardware issues or someone fat fingered a setting
and wiped out a bunch of routing tables which simply put is sorta like throwing
away your phone book if that was the only way you had to figure out how to
get in touch with anyone.

The stakes are rising in the mid-east after those two tankers were attacked.
After Stuxnet they have no problem with DOS attacks or using the WWW as
a tool in their plan to fight back.

The recent outage of Google’s server parks might be related to this 'slow down'. Please note that not all web traffic is between the 'original' site and you. Servers closer to your location will cache much requested web pages and send that to you, instead of using the longer (and more expensive and slower) route from the server where the site is located to your location.

Also it may be a related issue, with the dns-servers (aka the 'directory' of all sites) — where a request from a user has to be processed into something (numbers!) that the web understands. Googles dns-servers are used by billions of people and any problems there cascade thru the web like domino's (not the Festool ones) falling.

Did wonder and was hoping not an INFOSEC issue. Do we have CISO in the group here? Not trying to create a fake news storm but need to keep this forum safe.

Me too.

This is my 8th attempt in two days to load this page and post this comment :)

It has taken 4 minutes to get to this stage so that I can say - Yes, it is slow here too.

This has happened before, a couple of years ago, is Tyler on the case?

I am sure that Tyler has let the IT guys know.  Unfortunately it is a weekend.
