Sleeve for CT Vacuum Hose?

I watched a video recently with someone reviewing his Festool dust collector. The hose on the vacuum appeared to have some sort of smooth sleeve on it, which I'm going to assume was used to prevent the rough surface of the hose from getting hung up on anything.

I emailed the person in question to ask what the hose sleeve was made of or where he got it and I've never received a reply.

Does anyone here have information on such a sleeve that I could use?  [scratch chin]

Thanks

Dave

I found this link in an older thread about plug-it cords.
It's like the cablesleeving casemodders do to the wires inside their PC's, but in a larger diameter. Stretchy cloth like braided material that is fixed at the ends with a short length of heatshrink tube.

It wasn't me was it?  [blink]

Anywho, here's a link to a CT review I did, and you can see the hose has a sleeve on it.

I used a 1-1/4" nylon mesh sleeve (expands & contracts so you can slip it on), with shrink wrap on each end.  I left about 18" un-sleeved on the working end.

It looks very, very shiny and reflective in the video, but that's mostly the spotlighting.  It's supposed to be clear, and you can see the Festool green and black hose through it.

I'll have to dig around to find the place I bought it from, if you're interested.  It's flexible, and very slick, so it glides over the rails (end protectors or not).  I also ran a 16g plug-it cord through there, so I always have power with the hose.

Yup. You're the non-responsive miscreant.  ;D

I appreciate all the responses everybody. "Gorilla Sleeve" was the name I was looking for. And although there wasn't a local dealer near me in Toronto, Canada, a search for Gorilla Sleeve was sufficient to find a comparable product locally.

Thanks

OK so what did you use as I saw the same thing in Gary K's video and thought about it but did not ask.

Haven't bought anything yet. My search for 'gorilla sleeve' led me to a Canadian retailer,

I've got to look through their inventory and decide on a colour before I place my order. After I've got it installed, I'll report back with an opinion on its usefullness.
