Festool Part Numbers : 203149 and 495294
Once you have one of these, you won’t believe you ever got by without one. It’s an incredible timesaver.
Imagine you have a pile of parts that need sanding. Its clamp, sand, unclamp, then repeat for each piece for each grit. After a few hours of this I begin to hate even the clamping module.
With this set, you turn on the vacuum clamp, place the piece on the clamp which automatically holds it tight, sand as vigorously as you like, then step on the foot pedal to release the piece. Lay the next piece on the clamp and take your foot off the pedal - hands free clamping.
Seems like a little thing, but it saves hours. Best timesaver for me next to the domino.
Good for sanding, routing, joining with the Domino or manual work, just about anything where you need to hold down a workpiece!
This set contains everything you need: the vacuum pump, the clamp, and the foot pedal with hoses to connect everything. The clamp has a rubber fitting on top that holds down the workpiece. The bigger the fitting, the more pressure applied and the bigger workpiece you can hold. But the fitting can’t be bigger than the workpiece or the vacuum leaks out. That’s what the second part number is for. You get three different sized fittings in a systainer that will cover most anything you might want to clamp.
For large workpieces, such as a door or very long boards, a second clamping module is available from Festool.
Three years old. Works great, only about 50 hours usage. Current retail price is $1,375.
I will let it go for $975 plus shipping.
