This Crown Stop is used with the original Kapex Compound Miter Saw, the KS120. It can also be used with the KA-KS table extensions. Basically, it widens the Kapex table by approximately 5-1/4".
These stops expand the versatility of the Kapex (KS-120) compound miter saw and allow the cutting of crown moulding without making tilt adjustments to the saw, speeding up trim cutting. The t-slots on the top of the extensions accept standard Festool FS clamps, as well as the stops, of course. Festool recommends the use of a pair of crown stops, so both left and right miter cuts are accommodated with out moving the assemblies from one side of the saw table to the other. The Crown stop itself (the black thing), slides easily on the extension.
