I see Peter's offline, so I'll answer.

These items, when used together with the FS Rapid clamps, become bar clamps.

Peter is also offering FS Rapid clamps.  The clamps can be used with the guide rail.  There've been discussions about the clamps recently on FOG.

Between Peter's pics and this explanation, you now have more info than is on the (pre-April 1) Festool website.
