Hi all,

I have a seemingly very simple problem with my Festool CS 70 EB saw. Either the blade housing or the motor have shifted during transport, and hence the blade will rub the housing. In the attached picture, you can see that the housing opening is not centered (green line) and hence the blade will make contact with the black rubber part marked with a red arrow.

My question is: how to realign either the blade housing or the blade/motor so that everything is centered again? I did not manage to locate the mechanism that would allow me to adjust things accordingly.

Any help appreciated. Thanks!

Ok, problem solved. There are three 5mm Allen bolts that mount the plastic blade housing to the metal frame, see picture 1, marked with three red arrows. There are counterparts on the other side that need to sit tight in their little slots. Mine had come off and hence the rubbing of the blade.

I loosened the bolts but one of the counterparts on the other side was stuck in a wrong position (picture 2) and I had to remove the aluminium top of the saw to access it. After fixing this and retightening the three bolts, everything aligned nicely again.
