My Festool collection is growing rapidly.  So rapidly I have ended up with 2 kapex 120 EB sets.  It is a long story, but I bought one unpacked it used it and then was given one as a gift.  It was well beyond the 15 day return so I have a brand new set still boxed that I have no idea what to do with.  It's good to have spares, but this is overkill.

I advertised it on here, but no luck.  I don't really want to put it on eBay too many time wasters.  Any suggestions from UK members.

Thanks

Ian

I would be prepared to offer it a very good workshop if the (loan) fee was favourable 😉

I don't think eBay is for time-wasters.  You can set parameters that limits who bids and how they pay.  The winner is contractually obligated to pay, and even if they don't' you don't ship the item.  eBay then put them in the pillory.

It's a marketplace like the classifieds here or in you local newspaper, or notice board at your local Sainsbury.  You wait for interested parties to contact you.

I think you need to keep in mind that the market for a £1200 second hand saw is quite limited.  Especially the closer you expect to get to the price you paid.

You might also try craigslist - though IT IS rampant with timewasters because it's only one step above a flea market.

Fact is , you're going to have to hustle a bit to unload that in a short amount of time and close to retail.

Hi Ian

Have you spoken to the supplying dealer. If not then talk to the dealer who supplied it, if it unused and in resaleable condition, can they not help? (it wasn't us was it?).

Surely if you explain the problem, it would be great PR for them to sort this out for you.

Failing that, have you spoken to Festool UK, maybe they can step in to assist?

Send some messages explaining the problem, if you haven't already, and see if there can be something done.

Best regards

Warren

Might be a good idea to keep it as a spare,so you have one to use when it goes for repair.  [wink]

I sell bits on eBay with a few buyer retractions set and don't get any time waters.

You will end up paying a fair bit on eBay and PayPal fees that's the only thing.

How about looking for someone with some Festools to trade with instead of selling.

Thanks, yeah could do some swapping.  eBay is my last resort.

Thanks Warren,

Not totally sure where it came from, think it was bought through Amazon.  I have not let on to my family that I have 2!
