I'm replacing the overhead garage door in my shop with shop-built carriage doors – I don't like loosing my overhead lights and access to high storage when the garage door is open and the existing one is a shambles. Since we have a short driveway in front of the shop, I don't want to give up the space that it would take to have a pair of 4' wide doors, so I was thinking of dividing the doors into three panels, 32" each. One would be a free swinging door that would be the usual entry into the shop, the other two would be hinged in the middle so they could fold out of the way when I want to open the doors.

I've been worried that it would be a lot to ask of a set of hinges to hang both doors (I'm estimating that each panel will weight around 125-150 pounds. So, I've been thinking of supporting the far end on a roller like bi-fold closet doors. As I've been looking for hardware sources, so far I've found:

- they have components that look like they might work, and the price isn't heart stopping, but they don't recommend use on external doors.
- robust looking, but heart stopping prices.
- hardware looks interesting, but very little information on pricing or application details.

Are there other vendors to consider? Or hinges that could support a 64" wide, 250ish pound door?
