Spare Parts Diagrams

I've posted this question before with no luck. I am trying to buy some extra MFS Rail Connector Screw Assemblies which are used to fasten the rails at right angles to one another. The MFS is only suppied with (1) per rail which makes it difficult to make a T-Square arrangement since the rail is only fastened on (1) side. This allows the rails to go visibly out of square. I've spoken to David (I think?) at Festool in California and both times received the wrong parts. I just looked at the exploded parts drawing/list from your supplied link and do not see these parts listed. I am referring to the set screw with two flats on the outside thread with an internal thread for a small head diameter cap screw and the nut that slides inside the adjoining rail. Any help will be appreciated. By the way Matthew I just noticed it says you are in Western Mass. where are you? I live in Springfield.

Hi John,

Try this link.

It looks like simply a scan of a sheet I received in the box with the MFS 400.

I'm sure that one of the part numbers you want is 493 094--that's the screws and little joiners for right angle connections.

The externally threaded tube that those screws go through, that I'm not so sure about.  I'm sure you need it for what you want to do though.

Ned, I tried your link and got an error message in German.

John,

Use ekat.festool.com (without the www).  Go to accessories at the bottom of the page and you will find the MFS listed there.  Clicking on it brings up the parts list.

I noticed the link in the start post isn't working anymore. Since this thread is sticky: here's the current link: Link to the us version of the ekat-site

I also noticed that the partnumbers that John Langevin were looking for aren't included in the US version. But if you go to the Ekat site via a European festool site, you can find those partnumbers.

For example: link to Dutch version of ekat site
To get to the mentioned numbers: select "routing" in the left column; then "routers", then "accessories for routers", then "MFS400/700...", then "extension profile" (the option in bold is not available via the us ekat). Here you find that the part John was looking for is number 466353 (the number is for all 3 pieces (the threaded insert, the bolt and the sliding nut)

(It is not possible to link to a specific drawing in the ekat site, that's why I wrote out the "route" to get there)

Frank-Jan,
Thanks for noticing that.  One of the problems with posting a link like that is, of course, if the link changes!
I updated my sticky post to reflect the new address.
Stay in touch,
Matthew

I'm getting the MFS and am wondering if anyone has solved this issue with the threaded corner enabling insert for the MFS ? It's stated longer up this thread that it is not available as a seperate part, but I am quite sure I saw somewhere that a user found the part on eBay. I would like to use it so I can put my 700 and 1000 together to form a rectangle or to make a T square

Thanks in advance for any help!

Okay I've found the threaded inserthttp://thetoolstoredirect.co.uk/sto...53-VERBINDUNGSSATZ-91549-IPM-VP-05-AV-ST.html

So if I need to use it for full funtionality of the MFS 700 + 1000 extensions I'm good to go!

Just a note I have ordered/paid for my 2x MFS 400 and the 700+1000 extensions they are  promised for delivery at the end of the coming week, so l'll wait until they arrive before I order the above parts in case I discover I need to get any additional items to complete my MFS setup.
