Special secret ebay auction Festool router table CMS modular insert.

Isn't the insert a bit useless without the frame to put it in?

Sure you could make a frame to put it in and find a NVR switch to use with it, but by then you may as well have just built a router table from scratch...

Anyone can build a router table from scratch but this has the Festool dust extraction and the clips to hold the routers in.

It's kinda like the weirdos that try to build systainer ports by themselves. The materials and time cost more than just buying it.

I would like to know how the dust extraction is on the unit from someone who has used one.  You folks that have attended the training sessions should know if you saw it in action.

Congratulations, you have only been on this forum for five posts and you have already insulted me because I choose to build my own Systainer Port. Now let me see if I can find the forum feature that allows me to ignore a particular user.

How so? Time doesn't cost anything. I get time in neat portions of 24 hours per day and I never have to pay one cent for it.  [wink]

Spiderlilly, The point that Jonny was trying to make is that this CMS insert is of no use to anyone here on this side of the pond since we cannot yet purchase the CMS to insert it into.  You may have better luck selling that here once we are able to purchase the CMS.  Until then, you can work on your posting skills.  That's something else that doesn't work here...

Spiderlily,

This is the Festool Owners Group. A forum for tool users who build things. I suppose we should have all just gone to IKEA.

Richard.

Spiderlily posted the ebay listing. BUSTED. I might be wrong, me thinks not.  [blink]

Not sure what you are intending.  The OP indicates that it is his auction... if that is what you are refering to.

Hey, I resemble that remark :)
I'm one of the wierdos that built a few sysports.  FWIW I never would have bought one since the manufactured ones didn't suit all my needs.  If you look at the ones I ended up building you'll see that they have two banks of systainers instead of one.  Additionally, I am cramped for space so my sysports needed to fit underneath the extension wings of my ms and the manufactured ones are too tall for that.  Lastly, I included an mft style top so that I could use that space for clamping, assembly, etc.  If all of these mods make me a wierdo then I wear that cap proudly.

Different strokes for different folks....we all have our own way of doing things which I think is great or else we would all be the same and that would make a boring world.
Offense was not meant to be taken by the weirdo comment, although some took offense.
We can continue this conversation 4 years from now when Festool actually comes out with the product.
I am the seller of the auction. I never tried to hide that fact. I posted here to draw attention to it. I like all of your
feedback.  [smile]

For the record: I have festools. I built my own sysports. I have been designated "weirdo" by both friends and family.
