Starry sky with clouds

7 years ago I made ​​my daughter a new room. All the furnishings are custom made.
Did the wood cut in the store, MDF whit primer on it. Building and painting I did in the garage.
The ceiling is specially. 2000 holes of 1 mm, 250 m fiber, 48 RGB LEDs, 300 meters of cable and you get a starry sky with clouds.
Making the furniture, the ceiling and the electronics lasted about a year.

That's amazing!

Fortunately, I have a 7 year old son, so all I had to do was build him a display shelf for his Lego creations, and help him stick up some Angry Birds stickers!

You have really set the bar quite high for all us underachieving dads!

Wow! That is amazing... I've been meaning to make a starry sky ceiling above our bar counter for years and I've always found it cost prohibitive to build one with discrete leds. Maybe I should look into fiber optics if they have come down in price since we built our sauna lighting 7 years ago.

Wonderful job  . I was looking at doing a similar thing for my grandsons bedroom , only problem is that my daughter and her partner are renting at the moment so I would have to make it easily removable so that they could take it with them .
