Suction Hose Diameters

I've been running my Festool circular saw with an Alto Attix (European brand) vacuum cleaner.
The hose fits fine on the dust port of the saw.

But now, I've bought a new Festool sander, and the dust port is smaller.

There's a Woodcraft store 45 minutes away.  They say they can sell me a Festool suction hose that will fit both the  saw and the sander (and it might work better on either tool than what I now have), IF it fits my vacuum.

So what is the diameter of the rotating adaptor on the dust-extractor end (not the woodworking tool end) of the Festool hoses?

It is 2 1/4" or around 56mm. That is the same size as the standard shop vac hose.

I talked to Steve at Ultimate Garage about this. Apparently the inlet adapter size is pretty much standard among  Festool, Fein, and Alto.  In fact he stocks the Festool 1" hose as an option for his Alto products.
So this gives users of Festool woodworking tools a few more options for dust extractors.

Hi,

      Yeah it should fit. I have connected my festool hose to a couple of other regular shop vacs and vice versa. :-[  No adapters needed.
