Well the weather forecasts for the next 36+ hours sure looks miserable for the Northeast and New England.  With 12 to 36" of snow and blizzard warnings, to all the members in the storm's path:  Good Luck!  Charge up those batteries and pull out the Syslites.  Let us know in this thread how you are fairing.  After this snowfall Tinker will be able to buy the entire Festool collection!

Stay safe!

No.  this type of storm seems to bring out the best or the worst.
We like storms with about 8" at most.  These biggies can get very expensive for us.
We are prepared to be out for several days.
Sometimes, we need my son's back hoe to get us thru.
Unfortunately, his backhoe is 100 miles away this week.

I spent late yesterday afternoon sanding our hillside driveways in preparation.
i have been doing this for the heavy storms for almost 60 years. (not a bad accomplishment considering I am only 39)
It used to bother me (only a little) when i would get complaints for doing this.
Now, i just advise that is the way we do things.  "...And that is once?"

"Once for what?"

"That is your first complaint.  Every body is entitled to one complaint because, eeven I am am not quiiite perfect.  If you complain a second time, it means we are not compatible and you might as well get somebody else."

And that always works.  We either continue to plow in peace or they get to complain elsewhere.

Wayne    DO it safe out there thru this storm, I have batten down the boatyard the best I can and Fueled up the Snowblower and hopefully I am ready to go.

This could be a biggie based on the forcast, and on top they are calling it a Nor'easter so winds and tides will be a biggie

This one will be interesting. To echo everyone else, stay safe all. Let's all take care of what we have to to be prepared and then see what happens. Flashlights and a couple decks of cards can go a long way!
