It doesn't happen often, but once in a while, one jumps up that I didn't know was coming.
Most of the time, the things I build are "in the system" for a while (weeks) before they get to me. I am usually involved in the process somehow, consulting the engineering department, scheduling, materials, etc.
The single sheet drawing for these doors was not much more than a "cocktail napkin sketch" and made form materials that we keep in stock at all times.
The rail and styles all came from a single 1 x 8 x 10' and the drawer fronts from less than half of another, plus about 1/2 a sheet of veneer and MDF.

Very nice. I especially like the blue inlay; looks like tape.

It took me seconds to do that and I'm quite proud of it  [eek]

It's actually so the up-fit guys don't drill the hinges into the wrong side. I put it on the back with the warning of "No tape - Don't drill" because they have done it before [scared]
Last summer, there was one specific room of a bigger job that had raised panel doors. They were made by an outside company that specializes in doors. They can do them surprisingly inexpensively and that's what usually happens when there are more than just a few.
These particular doors had solid wood panels 1/2" thick, with one raised side and one flat side. They were supposed to be hung with the flat side out......but, somebody decided to "think" (rather than look at the section view of the drawing) and they drilled/hung every one of them with the raised profile out. [scared]
I thought the boss was going to blow a gasket  [mad]
They ended up shipping and installing with no doors, while replacements were made. It couldn't have been a painted job, where maybe we could have plugged them and just repainted.....nope, stained and lacquered.

Whoa, I love that my dumb commentary brought out a fantastic story from the trenches.  [thumbs up]
