I know there is a Festool branded SYS-2 with an attic storage lid available over seas. I have found it on some websites here, but it says discontinued. Was this available in North America at one time? If so, why was it discontinued? The parts show up on the Festool US EKAT system. Are they available to be ordered separately from Festool?

The Sys 2 attic was offered here and was a part of the older T-15+3 Set.  If you four parts on the Ekat you can order thru Festool USA.  It is possible to convert regular systainers to attic versions.

The Tanos version is available in the dark gray version in the US thru Woodcraft.

The lid and parts for the Classic Systainers appear to be available but not the T-Loc version. My guess is that since the T-Loc version was never sold here, there are no spare parts stocked.

If you can deal with blue latches, Lee Valley sells the light grey attic systainer.

You can replace the blue t loc latch with a Festool green one. The box will still have the raised Tanos lettering, but I did one like this and it fits in well with my other Festool Systainers.

Unfortunately there is no easy way and I checked once in Geermany. If you add up the individual pieces of the attic lid it almost comes out to the price of a complete systainer before you add international shipping to get it over the pond....

What happens if someone breaks a lid on their Vecturo systainer? The pictures are still in the US EKAT, but the prices are no longer there. :(

Good question. Didnt even think about the Vecturo. Should be available as ekat in US....... Maybe Shane can pipe in..... if he is not already off the clock and moving his stuff to NY.....?

That's a very good point. The Vecturo T-Loc systainer has an Attic lid and sold in the U.S. and although I am not a Festool employee, it does make sense to have it available as a replacement part (one would hope). Regardless, Lee Valley Hardware sells the Tanos version in the lighter color (non-grey).

The attic lid is in the EKAT system.
I ordered one for myself a couple months ago.

702082 Cover w/ compartments: $25.16

702083 Klarsichtklappe (cover): $13.78

You can buy just the green attic latch too (702081 Latch: $3.71)
but please note that it is definitely included with 702083.

Bit storage trays are here:

So ordering 702082 and 702083 is everything except the handle and hinge pins?

Here is 702083.

Really I only needed 702082 + a handle and hinge pins. But ekat wasn't clear on that.

[member=3171]bigjonh[/member] So 702082 includes the clear cover and latch as in your pic?
