If the box is not 15 5/8" x 11 5/8" (L x H) how can it attach to the other Systainers?
Stephen
A Maxi has a footprint the same as two regular Systainers facing each other (that is, hinges out). The lid of a Maxi has special attachment points in its center. These plus the regular "schnappers" on the side allow regular Systainers to be stacked and latched on top of a Maxi.
Maxis can be stacked and latched on each other.
Tanos makes a second Maxi container. Same footprint, but not as tall. Not sold in North America.
The photo below shows the front view of a Maxi. Look at the center of the lid. The forward center attachment point is flipped down in its normal non-docking position. The rear attachment point is up, ready to connect to regular size Systainers (SYS 1-5).

The photo below shows a SYS 3 sitting on a Maxi. One of the front latching points of the SYS 3 is ready to dock into the forward center attachment point of the Maxi.

The photo below shows the detail of a SYS 3 latched to a Maxi. The front latching point of the SYS 3 is inserted into the center attachment point of the Maxi. The green front
schnapper of the Maxi is latched to the side of the SYS 3. Two similar attachments are made at the rear. Another SYS 1-5 can be attached to the Maxi, facing the SYS 3.
