The SYS-Roll includes slots on either side for storing guide rail squares upright. However, there appears to be a plastic ribs in the recess, on both sides. Why does this rib exist? Can I modify it to remove the rib so that the guide rail stores in the recess? Or is this not the intended use for this recess?

That was my exact thoughts, which is why I cut it out on my Sys Roll.
Its been asked before and to the best of my knowledge everyone who answered thought that little rib was a crap idea and they also cut the damned thing out.

I think the person who designed the product and the person who drafted the mold were not communicating clearly.

Ribs provide support and strength to the adjacent walls.  Sometimes the ribs help with moldflow during the injection process. In this case it appears the main purpose is to tie the side rail to the cart bottom for strength.

Like many others I cut the ribs out from my SYS-Rolls to seat the rails in deeper. A die grinder or multi-tool will make short work of it. Have no clue why they put them there, but seems like almost everything needs to be modified.
