Syslite Bag Zipper

I have two Syslites and they are heavily used.  A couple of days ago the rubber flag on the zippers broke.  Looking at the design of the flag, the flag can be removed from the zipper and a replacement installed.  So I when to EKAT and searched for a replacement part.  There is no part break down for the bag. Do you know if a replacement flag can be ordered?  It is so inconvenient to open the bag without the zipper flag.

You can also make a pull to whatever length you need from a piece of masons line.  When you cut the line, sear the cut ends with a match/lighter/hot knife to keep them from unraveling.

Pretty sure you can't. That's not the sort of thing they keep as spares. Smallest unit they might sell is the entire bag, but I also doubt they have that one readily available. Perhaps if you contact Festool directly they might find you one.

But these flags can be easily bought in a local sewing supply store. I recently broke a zipper handle from my jacket and I could buy a new handle with flag installed.

Sorry, we don't have those as spare parts. I suspect you could get zipper pulls at your local craft store.

Just wondering..Does the syslite fit in a sys mini.

No. The Sys-MINI is too short.

A quick Google search for "zipper parts" found several that may work as replacements.

"zipper pulls" was my search and I think that's what they are referred to as.

Installing an replacement pull is a great alternate solution, but it is like putting Duct Tape on a Lamborghini.  Functional but no longer pure breed Festool.  The Metal part of the pull is still in great shape and does not show much wear in the eye.  It is only the rubber flag that fits in a dovetail like joint (similar to a jet engine turbine blade to the rotor) that has broken.  Clearly a Master Festool Engineer built this way for replacement.  I was wanting to get an OEM replacement for the flag.  Thanks...
