Syslite Duo - Link and questions

Nice addition to the lineup, Phil.  [thumbs up]

I know some had asked about the brightness of the SysLite. Well, there's info on this site.

SysLite KAL II
Bright: 769 lumens
Dark: 310 lumens

SysLite DUO
8,000 lumens

Man that's serious lighting. I just looked up the specs in the wobble lights as a comparison. You have to get into their metal halide lamps to get brighter then they are 16000 lumens for something that's 6 times the size at least and very pricey. I'm pumped for this to come over.

Huh?

I haven't seen the pricing on this so I'm not sure what 6x is starting from, but even Home Depot carries 10,000 lumen stuff for

....and as a comparison a candle is about 13 lumens so if the maths is done that comes to about 615 candles  [blink]

I can see these being big with event organisers ... nothing worse than crap photo and video colour quality from high profile evening shin digs!

Renting these puppies out (with a setup service) could be a business all by itself [wink]

Any news on a 110volt version for site work?

Hi
Currently only 240v

Phil
Made for DIYers then [emoji1] [emoji6]

Be aware that the rest of Europe has 230V everywhere: on site and at home.
So the Syslite Duo is also meant for professionals!

This shows the challenge/discussion on the 110v platform - U.K is the only one who requires it.

As mentioned in other threads although not a compulsary h@s requirement, 110v is prefered on uk sites.
I will order one straight away if or when 110v version is produced. Cant understand not being offered in 110v straight away as there is a need for good lighting on sites.

Slightly off topic question.
Anybody have an idea what brand is the overall/coverall (white/grey) and the shoes (also grey/white) the main guy is wearing in the video?

Shane, do you happen to know the lumen rating of the original syslite?  Thank you.

i'm so looking forward to getting my Syslite Duo tomorrow, there was another issue about delays, similar to what I had with the HKC, but after calling my supplier and having a proper friendly attitude I only have had to wait around 10 days instead of the 4 weeks that was the first estimate of delivery time.  i'll be using it for some late season evening gardening, bought hundreds of tulip bulbs for the community garden and they have to get in after a days work, I'll just fire up the duo, get to work. There's some other maintenance renovation of some of the beds I'm planning. Painting jobs if the weather allows, it's going to be sweet... Working outside with it I don't think the be light will be too bright as I can adjust the distance to the work area if needed.

My only regret is that no power socket is available at the back of it. It would have been great to plug a charger or any powertool on the syslite duo

I think it is worth repeating what a great light the Syslite Duo is.
I can't stomach the price as I don't have that much use for it so it is a pass for me but the accolade "Brilliant" seems proper.

If it had a built in radio I would probably have caved in. ;)

I am quite  pleased with the smaller Syslite Kal II - it serves me well on site for most of what I do.
