Like a dummy I lost my grip on a stack of systainers.  Not surprisingly this broke the top off the open one. I've received a replacement lid from Festool but I can't figure out how to get the hinges out. I've seen the YouTube video where they just pop the hinges out from the inside but my systainer has a shroud/piece that spans the entire back and covers the ends of the hinges. I need to get this piece off so I can then pop out the hinges. Can somebody tell me how to do this so I don't break the bottom half of the systainer I just spent $30 on a new lid for?

Thanks!

I have done this a couple different ways. One is ..........  use narrow/needle nose pliers to reach the hinge pin shaft , grip and push it hard to the outside. That just gets it started. Then use a tack puller from the outside to pop it free. Once one pin is out the stiffener across the back of the Systainer will come out.

Not sure if the T-lol is the same, but here is a video of a classic systainer disassembly.

In the video he is using the chisel the same way I suggested the pliers. I think the chisel will work better. Also removing the handle with the insert bit works really well.
