Systainer storage options

That is the biggest reason I don't keep Plug-its in the Systainers, with the tools.
My suggestion, for that emergency... Leave one under the bag, in the CT.
I keep fantasizing about adding a plug-it style connector to my CT26. For the times I don't want to unwrap the entire cord.
I am hesitant to risk the effect of the magnetic field created by electrons going around in the wound up cord.
Anyone else have thoughts on this?

The magnetic field generated by the partially wound cord should not be very large for several reasons. The winding is not round but a flat oval instead, it is not wound very tight (small diameter) and the wires inside the cord are probably twisted.
I did a rough calculation and the field would be 4 times stronger then the earths magnetic field under ideal conditions. 6 amp draw, 10 turns, 20 cm diameter. All of the things I listed above would reduce the field.

The only reason it's usually advised to not leave power cords coiled in use, is because of the potential for the current draw to heat up the cable and in a very heavy draw scenario the insulation could melt.

General usage and under the rated limit of the cabling and plug it's not a problem usually.

Just a moment, am I supposed to be uncoiling the power cable to my CTs every time I use them? I leave the MIDI I cable wrapped and only extending the length I need to run to the outlet.
Unless I'm using my welder or plasma cutter, I never worry about uncoiling the leads. Worst case on a long extension it might get a little warm depending on what you're running.

That is the only time I have ever bothered with unwinding the cable. Way back in the early 80s we had issues with a new Mig welder. When the local rep came to check it out, that was the first thing he said. "Unwrap the cables" and it really did make a difference. He may have done a few other tweaks, but that may have just been misadjustments, trying to compensate? I'm not sure, that was 40+ years ago

I would like a bit more density. Seems to me the mini screwdrivers could take half the space.

Also holesaw inlay. I made my own for an L-Boxx. But there doesn't seem to be any off-the shelf item for it.

There's a lot of wasted space on the underside of the XXL systainer lids...
I put my PS 300 in a Systainer with lid thingy and also put some more stuff on the underside of the lid. Drawback is that if the lid drops... it drops hard. Also the center of gravity gets awkward once you take the tool out of the bottom part and have a heavy lid

Yeah that is an easy add to the addition although in the Netherlands i only see the 8mm version. Maybe the pro sector uses 1/2.
6mm, 8mm, 12mm

Don't. Because the CT has an outlet and together that exceeds what Plug-It can do. Also you would be missing the grounding.
