T lock catch

I have had several T loc catches fall off when turning them. Is this a common problem? They push back on ok but seems bait worrying. Any one else had the same problem?

Only happened to me once a while ago.  Its not happened again  and I have a few T-locs.

It hasn't happened to me in 4 months of constant use. It is slightly concerning though. Is this something I have to look forward to?

I have two t-loc systainers and it has happened to me a couple of times on both of them.  Yes, it is a concern.  [unsure]

Yes, it happens, but not when they are locked or connected to another t-loc, so it is more an inconvenience than something to be concerned about.

You are right about when it happens.  So, I guess that I need not be concerned.  However, it is annoying.

It happens to me when I open the T-Loc sitting in the Sysport and forget to close it before pushing it back in. The catch seems to fall off quite easily.

That's why I prefer the Classic Systainer in the Sysport! You don't have to close the snappers when opening/ closing the drawer.

In fact this is one thing that's really annoying about the new T-Loc design.

Absolutely infuriating.  I'd say its a definite FAIL for the designers - all my systainers are stored in sysports when in the shop and I never close them to save time.  That said, I suppose the new ones ARE easier to lock, so I'll just have to change my habits.

I wouldn't say they are easier to lock, because you have to turn them 180° and you need two turns/ grabs. The classic is just much more convenient, because you can use both hands to take stuff out and just push it back in. The T-Loc in Sysport needs at least one free hand.

Of course we can just take off the T-Loc snapper! [big grin]

So I just took them off.

Regrettably there is not a convenient/neat way to store the t-loc. On the old systainers you just pushed the latch all the way down and it snapped back in to the case, staying nicely out of the way.

iv got 6-7 tlocks. its usually just 1 that does it. what happens it that somthing is stopping the lid from closing fully . as you turn the latch it cams out over the catch

I'm glad to hear to hear that as I have had no problems whatsoever and I have loads of T-Locs.

I don't have any problems with the T-Loc latch, except for use in a Sysport!

i use the latch as a handle to pull out the sysport drawers, works fine on most. but somehow the one from my RO150 pops off if i don't pull it gently.
it is a bit annoying that you need to close them to push the drawer back in, the locking together of systainers and ability to open them when stacked is a nice feature. though i don't need it.

I am wondering if anyone has had problems with latches when the lids are loaded in the "open" direction.  I was thinking of making the switch to Tlocks, but am not sure about the load carrying capacity (Tlock and foot/grabs in the back).  Some of my systainers (used for other things) get quite heavy and carrying a stack or three or four puts a lot of strain on the top systainer.  Has anyone had problems blowing out the latches or the feet in the back camming out?  How about a twisting action on a stack of Tlocks? I'm thinking they just might not handle it.  Not that it happens all the time, but I know the old systainers can take some abuse in almost all directions.
