4 days ago i bought a t15. originally i went out to buy a t18 but nowhere local had one in stock and i needed it that day so i picked up a t15 plus set, apparently the only t15 in bristol. I got to the job charged the first battery and started work. then i removed the second battery from the charger to discover what should have been a 3ah battery was in fact a 2.6ah battery.

So i called the dealer and i ended up with a £25 refund so the drill came to £345. now im not sure if im totally happy with this out come. is there much difference bettween the t15 & t18?

So i contacted the dealer again this morning and he said that he is more than happy to take the drill back or order me in a replacement t18, but the catch is festool are in the process of changing the package ie different charger and systainer, this resulted in him not being able to tell me how long it would take to get or how much it will cost.

so does anyone know when this will be avalible and how much? links appreciated.

Hi Tfb.
Not quite clear what answer(s) your looking for.  You've put up a couple of posts relating to new drills you want.

One -  if I've got it right, is that you want an impact driver.

Two -  you want a T18 - having recently bought, and used, a T15 - which had two batteries of different capacities in a systainer (??.)
If you check at festool.co.uk, you'll find what the 'scope of delivery' is for whatever you're interested in.
Those drills currently should come with T-LOK boxes with Li-ion batteries - though I guess some dealers might still have drills in the older '4-latch' systainers.

Neeleman put up a post which referred to the German Festool site, which includes a new charger, where the cord can be more easily wrapped around the charger case - who knows when it be available in the UK ??

I still reckon you should consider returning the T15 (seems you have to now get it back within 15 days) and get your money back.
Then you would be able to stand back a little if needed; giving you time to research more thoroughly.
How about ringing Festool and have a chat - on the odd occasion I've spoken to them - they have been very helpful.

And, if you get on those £50 vouchers off eBay, you might be a little better off than you thought.

Richard
