Hey festool masters

I sent in a drill that wasn't working,i thought it burned out, your guys fixed it, (got it working) but it sounds like there is sand in the motor, or gears are blown.  I was a bit disappointed since it's a 500+ dollar drill and it sounds like cheap crap.  I cant believe you would send it back in that condition.  I sent it though my local wood workers shop and they just shrugged it off. I honestly was a hugh supporter of the brand and still am but I got to say that I'm bummed out.  And I cant even find out what was repaired... so am I stuck with it as is?

I've said this before but would like to reiterate, and this isn't a slight at dealers. But, I would always recommend that customers deal directly with our service department when they need repairs. It cuts out the middle man and usually results in the tool being back in the customer's hands quicker. Also, we provide a sheet with the tool documenting the repairs.

Please send me your name, address and phone number. I'll have the service department contact you in the morning to get this corrected. Sorry for the inconvenience. Definitely not typical.

I had that with mine, had to send it back again to get it sorted.

I found holding the drill horizontal sound completely different to vertical.
