Tall systainer

I am looking for the biggest systainer I can fit on my Festool Midi Extractor.

I'd like to house the pipe/sanding discs and other items. I don't want the one with the plastic insert for the sanding discs, just the larges empty box they do that will fit the machine.

Can anyone help with which model, available in the UK to look at?

Thank you

Something else I just thought of = throwing an extractor hose, abrasives and other stuff all into one big box might prove to be frustrating and unworkable. You might be better off separating things so that your hose lives in one box, with your abrasives and other stuff in another - with the two smaller Systainers then T-Locked together on top of your MIDI. FYI a standard 3.5m x 27mm hose coils up nicely into a Sys3;

The only caveat to the above is that the photo shows the newer-style smooth hose - these are massively more flexible than the older, stiff, ribbed-style hoses. The hose on the right is the newer-style, the one on the left is the old;

I mentioned this because I don’t know the age of your MIDI, or which type of hose you have. Coiling up the old one into a Sys3 might be a challenge. Maybe an owner of an old hose might chime in here. Depending on your budget, the newer hoses really are a huge and enormously worthwhile upgrade, however. A complete game changer for me.

Hope you get fixed up.

Technically, the SYS3 M 437 is slightly taller than the t-loc SYS-5 (the external measurement is, anyway - I have no idea about internal height or volume) and is also cheaper here:
http://www.powertool-supplies.co.uk/festool-systainer-3-sys3-m-437.html
Internal height is actually smalller on the SYS3 437 as the T-LOC 5 is 420(+7) externally, and the perforations on the bottom and lid are more pronounced in SYS3.

That said, the OP really wants to go two sysrtainers: a SYS4/M337 or SYS5/M437 for hose @ vac accessories, and a separate one for the sandpaper etc.

For the Sandpaper & Co you may want to look at a T-Loc Midi 3 or L 237 from the SYS3 range. Still within the footprint of a Midi, but more storage at the same height.

I would keep the SYS4/SYS5 with hose permanently on the vac and then have a T-LOC 2/3 with accessories on top to have it easily accessible.

I'm not sure the L directly attaches to the Mid? Maybe needs an M in between?

I sometimes bring a Sys 4 with all kinds of stuff in it. Some things fit perfectly fine in there, like boxes of pipe clamps, unopened caulk tubes, PVC bending springs, etc.

On (new) Mini/Midi or (new) CT 26/36/48 you can fit any T-Loc or any SYS3, even the XXL one as the hose garage does not have a "tub" for the systainers like the old garages had.

But that was not my idea. I would put the "hose & vac accessories" systainer on bottom and the "sandpaper" one a top as that is the one accessed more often.

I have it now similar, just have a CT-VA instead of the "big" systainer directly atop my CTM 36 and then atop have a SYS2 with vac accessories.

Thank you so much everyone. Really helpful and good advice.

I do have the new hose but as mentioned I may go for two systainers. One for the two hoses (Festool and Mirka) and the other for sandpaper and Mirka heads. It makes sense, I'd rather have two with space then cram it all into the one.

Thanks again, it is very much appreciated.
