TCH - Single source for industrial, road case, and speaker cabinet hardware.

I never made speakers either any pointers on other sources or what tools I would need that I may not have.

It isn't too bad. I basically made the outside shell, then I cut strips and screwed them inside to the depth that the front and back panels would set, I set the front in an inch as to protect the speaker ( just in case during a solo or something, he kicked it over). I used construction adhesive and screwed the back on from the inside going through those strips, and screwed the front from the outside, but you can't see the screws because of the carpet. The only thing I learned is when you are gluing that carpet down, you don't have to rub it down. It balls up the carpet if you do. I will help you with your box if you would like. I seen you was wanting a stealth box.

nickao,
Thanks for the link to that speaker site!  That gives me a lot of ideas for the sound system in my loft.

Hi, man it is a small world. I have just joined the this forum and it may be a bit premature as I haven't bit the bullet yet and got anything. However I have ordered from TCH several times and have always been happy with their product and their customer service. Actually building cases is one of the primary reasons that I have been drawn to the festool. It is good to see them pop up on the friendly vendor radar.

Welcome Aboard Nicolas,

I have been interested in building some custom cases for various applications.  We have purchased a few roadie ATA cases which I found not too complicated to construct.  After looking at the pricing it appears building cases is not inexpensive by any means.  It almost seems more cost effective to buy them already made?

Interested in any information perhaps pictures in the fine art of Case Mfg'ing.  Particularly the cutting the foam inserts.

Thanks,
Victor

Nicolas,
Welcome to the forum, and I'm glad you found a connection right away!  That's the purpose behind the "Reelated Retailer" concept: there are non-Festool supplies and materials that are relevant to Festool owners.
Keep posting,
Matthew
