Needed to upgrade vacuum hose from 27mm to 36mm on Kapex work station. Cost would have been around 160.00. So I read through owners group archive and multiple suggestion said to try out a retro fit by Ridgid accessories VT2570 4X Pro Hose, cost 40.00 est. worth a try eg. Local big box store had in stock so I installed and couldn't be more happier with results. The 10' x 1"7/8 hose appear very industrial strength with multiple fitting which match up perfectly with dust extractor ct 48. So give it a try and save 110.00 and change. Anyone out there with feed back positive or negative please respond thanks ....Will

I cut an extra Rigid orange hose in half and it works perfect going from the kapex to the intake port on a smaller Dust Deputy, pulled by one of the small 5hp Rigid shop vacs and hooked up to the Ivac auto-start devices. works great! Leaves the CT26 free for other jobs.

That's what I did -- Kapex hooked up with that hose to my 6.5HP Ridgid shop vac nested under my lathe stand. Results in better DC than the CT26.
Don't have an auto-start feature, but that's fine because I have to draw from two separate circuits anyway because of power issues I have yet to resolve in my shop.
