Some nice ideas like the magnetic top, but no way am I putting an ipod or smartphone on my toolbox in a work environment. The device will be nicked in a matter of seconds!! Can't even put away all my screwdrivers without someone having helped themselves to a five-finger discount!

Agreed. Leaves a lot to be desired in aesthetics. Does not look rugged. Looks like a budget consumer electronic in all honesty. It's an interesting concept, let's see how it plays out. I'm sure we'll see the like sof DeWalt n Milwaukee come out with more versatile boxes in the future. New rolling tool chests, namely from Milwaukee, are going to feature some nice creature comforts that I've not seen before and mimic some of the functionality of this CoolBox.

Meh, too much bling and not enough actual backbone.
It’s just a replicant of the Coolest Cooler, IMHO. However, some of the features that made sense to me on the cooler just don’t for a worksite.
My grandpa would be turning over in his grave if he saw this. Of course, grandpa believed metal toolboxes were for mechanics and if you worked wood you built your own toolbox to fit your tools.
One of the things that stands out to me as a horrible idea is putting the outlets on the bottom. I live in WI, 8 months out of the year job sites are generally snowy, wet, muddy, or some combination of all three. Even if I make sure not to set it down in a bad location, sometimes you wind up pushing a 2 wheel cart for maneuverability. This would have you pushing it straight into the badness.

Looks like an idea from a couple guys who don't actually use a tool box or know anything about the industry where tool boxes are used. That could be judgmental but while some of the features are clever, do they really belong on the job site? And for that matter, do some of the features belong in a shop? This seem better suited for the homeowner (which is not a bad thing) or even an outdoor enthusiast. Really, just by the commercial you can see that they had one scene with the toolbox in a work site.
I looked up a review (all of which are from tech/gadget sites) and some of the comments were as follows...
"I'm still looking for a tool box that will hold all my cordless tools, charger and batteries in separate sections. Obviously people who design toolboxes never had to use one."
"Oh look, they totally appropriated the ideas behind Coolest and applied it to what is actually a very lame toolbox. At least for anyone that really uses tools."
$169 is pretty steep for that and I wonder about the quality of a tool set for $39. Again, homeowner geared.
