Well, if it helps, I saw the most brilliant bit of Festool kit today (probably here on the FOG) and in the UK it is only about £10 - it is a 3m tape measure with a scribe point etc - part number 495415. So, for your next purchase and to show that I care about your bank balance (or lack of) try the Festool tape rule.
