For you guys not seeing your state or town on the map, keep in mind that the Road Show is a multi year program that started in 2016. There was a wide swing through California for example last year... it's only April right now so all stops might not be finalized for 2017, and then there is 2018....
Also keep in mind, dealer participation is key for this event. Festool does not just roll into town and set up, there is extensive collaboration with local dealers, it's the only way the program works. So, if you are keen to see this awesome truck in your town, let your local Festool dealer know and keep on them about it...
As to the question about 'what is it', basically its a freaking awesome custom tractor trailer, once set up there are various demo stations where you can see the tools in action demonstrated by Festool trainers and employees and local store sales staff, or try the tools yourself, ask questions, get ideas and information and the like. I would not expect any discounts, and when the truck was here in Reno Nevada last year, it was the only demo going on - of course Apex Saw was open so you could shop (and buy!) Festool and other brands they offer. I have seen pictures from other stops last year and don't recall seeing any other vendors, at least not like one might expect at a larger tool show type of event, I think this is a pretty Festool-centric show!
When I was in Reno, they were showing the HK saws before they were available for purchase on the N American market, so maybe you will see other future tools shown, don't know. But while I was there I did learn some neat things about the Domino and Kapex, so it was worth the trip to me. Plus, the truck itself is just freaking cool, you can watch a video online about its construction!
