The last metalworking shop in Soho (NYC) closes it's doors after a century, to be replaced by a luxury condo.

"The price he is getting for the building is more than the business ever made in a century"
 
Although it is a shame to see the old tradecraft die off, at least the craftsman and his family will benefit with $$$$$$$. Maybe he can open another shop on a tropical beach. I can see the sign now "Joe's metal works & Mojitos & Scooter rentals & Seafood Bar & ............" ;D
