There is a difference

I will be ordering a Carvex shortly.  [tongue] [tongue]  I didn't think I needed one until this last weekend.  It would have made this job a lot easier.  I am building a pergula in our new backyard and I needed to use a jig saw to cut some quarter circles in 2x8 rough cedar that are serving as my joists to give them some interest.  I have a fairly old Bosch jig saw and it was almost impossible to see the line as it was producing so much saw dust.  My first solutions was to blow on the line as I cut.  Not very effective.  My next solution was to hold the saw in one hand and then put the end of my CT hose about an inch away and cut while having the CT on to remove the dust as I cut.  The Carvex would have been the perfect solution between the dust collection and the strobes so I could see what was going on clearly.  Too bad we have to wait until September!

How exactly do you know there's a difference if you haven't tried the Carvex yet?  [huh]

For me, it was Peter Parfitt's videos. Clear demo's, instructive, and persuasive in the extreme. Happier than heck with my new PSC420 and sure the OP will be in love as well!

I was going to say the same thing.  I already know the Carvex has great DC abilities.  The strobes are cool but getting that %#@@%^^&#E%#!  dust out of the line of sight is worth the upgrade.

Uh, my old bosch jig saw has a dust blower built it.  You can turn it either off or to 3 different levels.

Funny how I heard people who never tried the tool say the same things about the Carvex PS400 and we all know where that went.

I myself, I give my opinion about tools after I've tried them. Yeah, I know, I'm the odd one out.

Hardly Odd one out!    I give my thoughts on tools how I see them based on what I can see from pictures, videos and specifications etc.

but until I have used the tools THEN I will give my true opinion on it what I think!  As you must know!
