You are correct in that big bits won't pass through the dust shroud on the 1400.

Daniel, I'm sorry for taking your thread somewhat OT. Hopefully you have got some information out of the OT parts anyway.
How did it go? Decided on the CMS?

With the OF1400 dust shroud you can't lower a big bit down under the table, can you? I often just lower everything and put a cap on (a blank MagnaLock plate) so I can use the surface as a work table.

No apologies needed. I like reading all this information. I will think about it for a while, I do not have an immediate need for the CMS, it is more of a want.
