Thread size of the setscrews in rail connectors

Anyone know the thread size and pitch of the set screws for the TS rail connectors?  I would like to get allen key replacements so I don't have to carry a slotted screw driver in the bag all the time.

Also, any thoughts on why the TS rail bags only have padding on one side?  The FSK bags are double padded.

As an aside, I think it's insulting to not include a bag with the FSK for the price.  For that matter, it's likewise insulting to not include a dust bag with the HKC 55 when they include one for the TSC 55.  There's a lot of "accessories" that are actually critical for minimum operation that aren't included in the Festool world, I'm finding.

The nylon tips on the screws mentioned in the link are very nice.  In a pinch, I filed the cup tips off 6-mm long set screws purchased at my local hardware store. They were just barely long enough, and next time, I'll start with 8-mm long screws.  After all this, I found the missing 2 original screws on the floor, and they are now to be either tight in my connected rails or a small pill jar!

Pretty sure its M6.
Or 6mm thread with a 1mm pitch from what I remember.

[member=57769]TylerC[/member] When are guide rail accessories sold in NA going to be switched to imperial hardware?!?!  All this "M" nomenclature is driving me crazy!  Festool doesn't know how to standardize!

¯\_(ツ)_/¯  Sorry. As we expand manufacturing in the US (which is a long and slow process), it's somewhat safe to assume that more and more items will become customized for the US market.

Festool has already standardized. To metric. It's as standard as one can get. Now, it's US's turn.

I can honestly say that I have had many of these setscrews go missing over the years and then learned to order spares and after usage take them all out and place them in a ziplock bag.

I doubt that in my lifetime I will see Festool standardize fasteners to imperial specifically for the North American market.

Going to work on my Ford tomorrow.  The metric and imperial wrenches are ready!

Sorry, I forgot to add a /s to my previous post-- if it wasn't already clear by the ridiculous statement I wrote.  ::)

How's this: alternatively, maybe they can use a M6 screw and just call it a 15/64" screw for NA.

Festool is undoing standardization.  It would be very unfortunate if they look into the additional customization to which TylerC alluded.
