It is Calavera thread - sorry ;)

I used both systems, but I found that with Raimondi I do faster cleanup and don't need extra top washer...

A heads up for someone who may want to try the Spin Doctor system-----if you're doing marble tile make sure you use the optional protector plates. I've seen marble tile damaged by the leveling cap. Same can happen with the Ramondi system from the wedges.

Good call I always use the clear disks it helps the tile not move when you spin down on it.

Is that plywood your setting on?

Tom you are right,
Raimondi doesnt scratch marble if new set of shims is used.

Rizzoa most of the jobs I set on a "sandwich" plywood.

The contents of this thread are the result of it being split off from another topic.  Unfortunately when a thread is split off there will be a little of disconnect at the beginning and might be references to the previous thread which in this case was about tool and supply bags.

I quit using one of the twist down systems just for the fact that the tiles often moved. Switched to the MLT tile system and never looked back. Less hand fatigue using the gun, yet it applies more tension over the system I had previously.
