Yesterday visited the felder dealer as I had to pick something up from there  ::). There was a fair in the showroom/ shop for the last few days so there were various tool and hardware representatives. Among them was a Slovakian guy demoing an edge bander. As a helping hand he had a trim router at hand from the brand narex. Now I know narex as I have chisels, carving and lathe tools from them (made in Slovakia) but wasnt aware they produce power tools. When he saw me paying attention to the router he told me that that it is a protool, well kind of, he told me Narex took over Protools. Now I google Narex and I stumbled upon the following website

Interesting to say the least!

When clicking the "till now pro tool newly narex" banner I get too;

Description:
Equivalent power tools NAREX with power tools PROTOOL
Dear customers, in connection with the discontinuation of power tools under the PROTOOL brand we would like to offer you comparable power tools from the professional power tool brand NAREX.

The Protool branded machines are disappearing from the market.
Some got renamed Festool and others Narex such as:
- CSP circular saws
- AGP metal-grinders
- DRP drills
- PDP hammer drills
- CHP SDS drills

Festool, Protool, Narex, Tanos and Schneider are all part of the TTS company.
So that's the reason.

Isn't  Fein also a part of TTS company? A friend told me that Fein, Festool and Protool are connected.

No Fein is not a part of the TTS group.
Though Fein is also situated in the south of Germany. In D-73529 Schwäbisch Gmünd-Bargau, which is only 50 km from Wendlingen where Festool is situated.
Look at the following organisation chart: TTS Tooltechnic Systems AG & Co

Fein and Festool are only connected through a marriage. A bit like W.C. Ford marrying a Firestone.
