Tips and feedback on first time purchase

I would suggest a credit card with a high credit limit, low interest rate and a good rewards program. Also a very understanding wife when she sees the bill.

Any tips on some of the most commonly used consumables and other accessory type tools that I should get or at least plan to get. Suggestions on where to buy from is also appreciated.

Looks like you're already shopping on a good website.  [wink]

Grab some extra bags for your MINI, it would fill up quicker with the router being used since it produces bigger chips. Consider the 106" rail for your saw if you're going to be cutting up sheet goods, or a second 55" rail with connectors. There are plenty of opinions on connecting rails vs a long rail, I'll leave that debate for the forum members. I use my clamping elements probably as much, if not more than, my quick and screw clamps. Very handy --- 488030. Of course, sandpaper. Granat is the best all-around paper for virtually every application and it's long-lasting. Rubin if you're primarily sanding bare wood. There's a handy-dandy abrasives search tool you can use to sort out the abrasives options easily. The hard sanding pad is a good option if you do a lot of flat surfaces or edge sanding, 498988. And, if you own an MFT, you must grab a set of Parf dogs, indispensable.

Okay. I'm about to pull the trigger and rid myself of this pile of cash that I cherish so much. Here's my cart and hopefully this is enough to get me going. I know I'll need some router bits, but not a clue what yet. Wish the SYS-MFT-Fixing set was available.

Looks like you are going to make a dealer's day! Do you have a place for your Kapex? If not, look at the UG cart set for portability, or the Kapex MFT for shop use.

Have fun with your new stuff.  [smile]

[member=60853]sofa_king_rad[/member], this pad is not compatible with the RO 150 on your list. I think it may be left over from when you were considering an ETS sander.

Festool 498987 Fusion-Tec 6" / 150 mm Sanding pad - Long-Life

There isn't a long life pad for the Rotex. I would suggest the hard pad, which is great for flats especially to keep a crisp corner and not round it over. Item #496149.

And, the polishing pad is only used with polishing media like sponges, felts and sheepskins. So, you only need it if you're going to be using the Rotex to polish. I didn't see any polishing supplies in your list other than the pad.
